my car is throwing a IAC code and idles crazy..the light only comes on when its warm then starts running like ****...it runs fine when the light isnt on and when its cold...how can i check to see if it is bad or should i try to bleed the coolant first.. i have a B16A...any input will help thanks

 

If the light is on, then its probably bad.

Unplug the IACV when the car is idling bad, if it stops idling bad then you've found you're problem.


Bleed the coolant first though. If you're throwing code 14 for IACV then its most likely shot then.

 

If you damaged the harness or connector, check it. If not, still check it. Then replace the valve, faulty internal coil.

Most likely bad wiring.
