Default Relashed or Kpro???

Wats up guys? ALright, so I just Got an 02 DC5 and I had an 04 before. This 02 was Modded a lil but mostly just exterior wise and just Intake, Exhaust, Headers. But the other night, I was racing A Nissan Sentra and I over-reved to about 9 ish a couple times and @ first I was paranoid cause on my old 04 it would have resulted in bent valves but my car was fine. I Dont know exactly what was done to my car but how do I know if its been Reflashed or has Kpro? The dealership Did not know Jack squat about the Car. Thanks

Take off the hard felt panel under the Glove box and see if the ECU has a large HONDATA sticker on it.

well even if its reflashed reving to nine or higher will still result in bent valves unless you dont have stock valve train. but i take my z1 to 8800 at the track all the time. also i would not consider a car with intake header and exhaust a lightly modded car but the thing im most concerned with is WTF were you doing racing a sentra?

HAHAH NO man, I spanked the **** out of the Sentra, We went @ it 3 times. 3+ car lengths each time 120mph+. But it wasnt too bad, I thought their Top end would have been better.

Your car should only rev to 8200 stock, i believe... Also check to see where your i-vtec engages. When I had my DC5 it had the reflash and it would rev to 9k and cross over at around 5200 I think.

Also if there is a USB port on your ECU then you have K-Pro!

I dont think you can rev that high unless you mishifted into a lower gear or have some sort of ecu altering device ie hondata, etc....

I think with the reflash you can go up to 8600 if im not mistaken?

Why buy a car from a dealership without knowing any of it's background information?

Not a very smart move, in my opinion.
