Trying to find my S2K.....
Hey guys, I just sold my STI and I am trying to find an S2K now. I had an ITR before the STI and it got jacked. Can't wait to get back to a honda! Anyway, I have been having a hard time finding one out here in Denver and figured I would ask some opinions on what I have found so far. I am looking at an 03-05.. I've driven both AP1 and AP2 this past week.. And I'm really in the air about which way to go........
Anyone know of any good deals for sale right now? preferably 03-05

if your not boosting the car, you dont need to upgrade the oil jet bolt. and even some people are still running on two holes jet with SC and reaching to 320whp. for AP1 i would pick 02-03 since i like the rear glass window but not the ring on the taillights. if you can tell us your goal, then its much easier for us to help you.

Anyway, I am really confused as to what to get now. I went a looked at the black 02 with 16k miles and the condition of that car was not nearly what it should've been. So needless to say I'm not even interested in that one anymore. There arent a lot of 03's around where I live. But I did find that 00' in GPW with red/black interior and only 14k miles. I am going to look at that one tomorrow sometime.
As far as my goal.. I don't plan on boosting it any time soon. I want to try and not worry about straight line speed anymore and focus more on handling and having fun up in the mountains with a few autox weekends here and there. The 00' I am going to look at looks like it is FLAWLESS.. but once again it is a 00' and has plastic window, non upgraded oil jets, weaker tranny from what I've heard as well.. but is all of that a really big issue for what I want? And I am curious as to weather or not I can change the top to the newer version with the glass window??

So I have looked at the 02 berlina black and the 00 gpw.. both are in horrible condition for how many miles they have..
this is harder than i thought..
i found a 03 NFR and looked at it today.. it has 15k.. in great condition.. has ap2 wheels, tein springs, and fujita CAI.. it has been through 3 owners which is kind of weird.. but they guy is asking 19,500 and says he cant go lower...

Haha yeah the AP2 is def nice driving around town with the torque.. but it just doesn't rev like the AP1..

im in the same pickle as you are. i just cant choose between the ap1 or ap2. i would love to have traction control, because it saved me a couple times in the m5 and would be nice to have on rainy/ cold days where the tires dont grip as well
Yeah that makes sense.. would the traction control make a lot of difference in snow/icy weather? Wonder if I could drive it with traction control and blizzaks..
i think so, there is a old lady around here who has blizzacks on her suzuka S, shes old, its an AP1. and she just throws a sandbag in the trunk, and drives it all winter. i live in NE ohio, we get really shitty winters. not as much snow as colorado lol but much much shittier

After owining my ap1, i would definatly go for a ap2. There is no way in hell that the ap2 could possible be as horribly built as an ap1. I have thought about selling mine many times, and just giving up honda all together because of this car.

what's the big deal about the rear glass? just curious
And also what's the issue with oil jets. Cause i'll most likely get me an AP1 it's more in my price range, TO the OP check cars.com i see some good deals, if you haven't yet. Also if you see a good deal far away don't be afraid to Drive!
