ZC Problem

Default ZC Problem

Hi guys noob here.The situation is.... I was rolling down the FWY in my EF no problem's ever when all of a sudden I lose power so I pull to the shoulder and try to start it and nothing. headlight's and emercencies are on so I figure it's not the altenator.For a while I try and start it and it cranks but after about an hour I get nothing no click no nada.Can anybody help me in what I need to start checking first????

yeah check your dizzy, cap and rotter, sometimes the rotter will just come loose inside the cap...

and turn the car on (dont start it) and see if you can hear the fuel pump come on...
from inside the cab.


did you run out of fuel?

Lol Nah mang full tank.God I hope it's the dizzy I wont be able to check till tomorrow morning,if it is the dizzy what exactly do I tell auto zone? It's a SOHC Zc what US engine is it? So I can just lose power like that? All of a sudden?

same thing happened to me, i was going down freeway and lost all power, couldn't start or nothing, honda said I bent a valve, come to find out, the little screw that holds the rotor on came loose

Actaully you know what Ididn't lose all power,headlight's,radio,dash everything stayed on It just wouldn't crank anymore...Oh and as for the d16a6 what yr/model is it from? AutoZone want's a few more specific's...Thanx guys

check your effing rotor inside the cap already....

why do you keep asking questions when you havent done this yet?
