ej1 lip on a 92-95 del sol?

ej1 lip on a 92-95 del sol?
I have the hardware and everything, but the lip isn't long enough. Here is a question for anybody with the lip on their del sol, did you stretch the lip with a heatgun, or just mount it? I have been mocking it up with C clamps, but it just isn't long enough
