you sure the decreased mpg is not from you giving more throttle to hear the intake? i doubt an intake would decrease your mpg if your driving style stayed exactly the same.

x2 little more power makes ur feet alittle more heavier......!

it is a fact that colder air will give you decreased mileage versus warm air...this also comes into play in the winter when you experience about 10% decreased mileage(at least i do) in combination with engine struggling to stay warm by burning more gas...
yea i replaced my filter witha k&n one the other day and WOWWWW!! i changed it halfway through a tank and now i'm at the bottom of my tank...
from topped off to half i usually get 120 miles
from half to almost e(w/ k&n filter) i got one forty something

i can afford it but it just i only ran cold air and didnt even get to put my other parts and it kills the gas so much and plus money dont grow on tree.s
i think it does hurt a lil bit but it depends on ur driving habit also..
i shift at 2k everytime and i get 35mpg c/h mix..mostly city though..my max speed is usually around 60mph..and i have an ebay sri with aem filter, ctr cams, exhaust, header, high flow cat, and skunk 2 pro IM..so it's really how u drive it..keep the rpms low and u'll save gas..
i fill up with BP 92 premium....i've used Shell 91 Vpower<<highest shell grade i could find around here, and i usually get 29-30mpg..so i switched to BP..

wouldn't it make sense to get better mileage with a cold air intake? considering that when its cold there are more 02 molecules around and allows for a fuller combustion then regualer warm air. right ?
Well think about this the more air you take in the more fuel your car is going to use to even the mixture and get the good air/fuel ratio for best combustion possible. So I woud say it would drain more fuel.
