Ok so lets set the scenario:
1: I decide to try something out thats on ebay for sale (problem)
2: I install that item (performance computer chip) and it is a true solder the piece of **** into the circuit board of the ecu chip
3: I have done work on computer circuit boards and this kind of thing to other cars, I know what im doing (not a problem)
4: the car now doesnt go past 4k RPM's and its popping flame out the exhaust almost as if it had a anti-lag system for a turbo (problem)
5: there was an optional resistor that could be put in the place on L1 of the circuit board, I have a D15B7 non-vtec and it has a p07 ecu, the chip can be removed cause its on a chip socket and if it comes down to it ill just remove the chip and see if that changes everything back to normal, but im thinking that the optional resistor on L1 needs to be romoved, i had to install a resistor or circuit R54.
Does anyone have any ideas or know how to fix this. Clearly i got what i paid for since the chip was 15.00 all said and done, and i have learned my lesson with ebay parts. Someone have any ideas? its almost like the cars getting too much fuel or like the injectors are going absolutely nuts, cause ive had injectors go out and the car would kinda pop flame and it wouldnt go past 3k RPM's.

i wont have time though to run to a junk yard tomorrow and rip a stock D series ecu out and then throw it in my car, i work a full time job and i have side jobs tomorrow.
if you have time to solder in a no name chip and beat the hell out of your ECU you have time to go to the junk yard.
cause your ecu is [freak]ed. you would need to unsolder everything you have done including teh socket.
the second senerio is buy another OEM map and have it burned on another chip and put it in...
who the hell buys chips on ebay and solders them in to their ecu.
why the hell would you buy a performance chip for a d15b7 that was your first mistake.

why would you do something like that?
did you think it would add 600 hp? its nothing but a piece of resistor thats 3 bucks from your local radio shack

there is no way around it... your ecu is now a paper weight.
only way around it is to get a another ecu.
no one chips their ecu's as far as i know for honda's, thats why you have hondata and etc.
Lesson learned... get a new ecu.

this is a semi false statement or stated wrong.
people chip their ECUs all the time. Now what people dont do is buy "PRE" programed chips.
people usually chip their ECUs so they can use Crome, Uber, TurboEdit, Neptune and so on, but even with those its usually a basemap that you have to fine tune later.

disconnect j1 , and motherboard will not use the chip ,,,, 4k rom , means limp mode , either the socket was not soldered well or something is missing ! , read this:

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Drive the car to work below 4k RPM.
Buy a stock d15 ECU.
Your problem probably stems from the fact that God doesn't like you for having no cat on your car.
Go put a cat on your car. You have a Daily driven D series (hey...DDD). Why take the cat off? 1/2hp?
