Default Walbro in tank fuel pump question

Hi, did someone out there tried to use a 255 lph walbro in tank fuel
pump as a in line fuel pump?? I have one and I don't have the original
fuel tank of the crx anymore. I'm using a fuel cell now. Will it work or it has to be in the tank to work??
Any Help??

You could probably use it to work but you might run into the problem of having the feed hoses blow off during operation. The intank pumps have different fittings on their ends to accept the sock filter on the bottom and a very short hose on top. If anything...sell your in tank unit and pick up an inline pump. I think the Walbro inline pump is GSL392. It has threaded female metal ends that that can accept brass fittings (such as barbed ones) that you can be sure that will not come loose over time and vibration. Just remember to upgrade your wiring to something a little thicker to handle the extra current needs that the Walbro pumps tend to need.
