drag 3 air filter doesnt clear the hood, does yours?
wheni i close the hood, the air filter hits the top of the hood, and now, theres a burn on it w/ the color of my car, and theres a burn on the hood too, and its really pushing down on that radiator hose. anyone else had a problem w/ this?
reposition the filter piping, that should fix your problem. i have a few buddies that have had the gen 3 on their gsr's and they never had this problem....
friend got the same problem....im not sure how people fix this....ive seen some people change out the radiator hose with a flex type. this should give you more room to angle the filter.
ive seen them either on the summit catalog or jc whitney. they look like one of those ricer things people usually just past up because they come in funky coolers...but u can get one in polish.
have u thought about cutting the pipe? it might help you clear the hood?
Dustin has the same piping- i wonder how clears.

I slammed my hood! It moved the filter away from the hood so that when I close it now it doesnt touch. Havent had a problem yet.

What I did was just loosen up the clamps on the intake piping and turn everything just a little bit. Rotated the intake pipe away from the front and the filter towards it and it cleared fine.
