91 integra failed emisiions
I got a 91 integra rs and took it for emissions today and failed. Need some help the problem was that the CO was 1.84 and the limit is 0.89. Now my car has some DC headers and i dont see a O2 sensor could that be the problem. Also this car doesnt give me a check engine light, doesnt it usally give you the light? Well I need some help fast anyone knows what coul be the problem ill apreciate it. Thanx
i run DC sports header on my DA.. i had to have a flange made for my o2 sensor.. check ur ecu.. if u only have one blink then thats the o2 sensor.... bring ti to a muffler shop n have them make the flange for the 02 sensor.. u might have to extend the wire.,. a simple splice can do that
your 91 integra wouldnt flash the check engine light for a o2 sensor. you need to pull the carpet up from the passenger floor. the ecu has a led on it that flash's engine codes.
I have a dc header and it has a o2 bung, not in the same place as the oem though. its on the b-pipe and it came with a extender. If you have high miles you might need to change you catalitic converter. I'm using a catco bolt in and pass emissions with flying colors here in ct.

alright I just bought a O2 bung at CarQuest ran me $3.50 and this muffler shop will put it in for me. Now the question is does it matter where they weld it or should I have them weld right before the down pipe where all the cylinders meet or it doesnt matter?
