Default GSR wont start!! help please!

I just installed the skunk2 intake manifold on my 00' gsr and it's not starting.. the first time I went to start it after installation It was chugging for like 5 seconds trying to start then would die and this process kept happening. Could it be my vacuum lines?? plugged in wrong sensors? I also doubled checked the fuel rail and injectors everythings in place correctly. any help at all would be appreciated!!

most likely it will be your plugs.. check on the two plugs on throttle side because they could get easily mix. other than that, you could have a big leek like the throttle gasket. i doubt the vacuum hose since they could be use all in one port. This is at my know ledge, what I've experience due to many manifold change over. GL

do u have picture of ur installed??
i used this:
http://www.clubcivic.com/board...kunk2

i would go thru that and check ur work to make sure u did everything correctly like that did..make sure to use a T fitting for one of the hose off the charcoal canister, the other end of the T fitting should be ur pvc, then u'll need one more hose to hook on to the bottom of the T fitting then to the front port on ur Skunk2 IM..

check ur work man..i used the exact same guide, got it installed..and she fired up like a champ..

If your idle is that high then I would look for a open vacume line... I had this happen when we did a swap in my old DA.. Come to find out we missed one of the vacume lines..

Make sure you scrapped all of the gasket off of the IM and head. Also make sure the tb gasket is good and also scrapped clean.

I couldnt get all off the old gasket off It was honestly the most ridiculous thing ever.. It wouldnt come off or scrape off... so im guessing Its a really bad seal then which is causing me all my problems?

bingo. It is a pain, but the extra effort would have prevented you from having to take your IM off again. Just go at it. Use something to soften the gasket up and use a razor blade to scrape it off. Be careful not to cut yourself or create any gouges in the IM/Head.

Good luck

Yeah, I know. It is a royal pain in the ***, but you have no choice but to get that stuff off. It will clear up with some time and a little elbow grease. Remember how long that gasket has been baked on there for. It not goin' anywhere without a fight

sigh..did you seize the motor? Make sure you get all of that coolant out of there. Remember, take your time and do things right the first time. Now you are in a big mess.

It would literally seize. It would just cut off and not crank. Dont try cranking it or anything. Get the gasket removed properly and get as much of the moisture or liquid you can out of the combustion chambers. You should be good to go once you do that.

man such a little project turned into a huge one. my #4 cylinder isn't in good shape it seems.. the spark plug had been burning oil and the compression is a bit higher then the rest. the coolant problem definitely doesn't help either.

If #4 is holding more compression that ins't necessarily a bad thing. How do you know that particular cylinder is burning oil?
