type R head 97???

me and my friend r trying to find out the differences in identifying a ITR head. i have a 00 ITR head labeled PR3-4 w/ the green by the distributor. he has a 97 supposed ITR head labeled PR3-2 but it doesnt have the green paint by the dist. it has dual valve springs but is there any other way to identify if it actually is a ITR head??? its on the car so we cant look at the ports.

There are year stamps on the heads. You know its not an itr head for sure if it was Pre-ITR

Well my friend has a 97 itr head to and i was trying to see if its really a ITR head and it says PR3-1 is that a ITR head to????and my GF has a 00 SI and that head says PR3-4.so i am guessing you cant tell from the out side...Or can you?
