Ok, I know that cel 9 is Cylnder postion sensor. Now I'm Running an LS-vtec with a b16 head and a b18a1 bottom end, My ecu is a p72. Im curious to wonder do i need to run an obd1 or 2 distributor? I currently have a obd2.... Help please!

im currently helping him work on this car and we cant seem to get rid of this code .

i also knoticed that on the car side of the dizzy harness ther is no blue rpm output wire but yet the tack still works, never seen this before any input?

the car is running the motor stated above in a 2000 civic si thats been converted to a chipped obd1 p72 ecu with a jumper harness

we have eliminated all other cels and this is the last one we cant seem to get rid of.

Is a obd1 b-series dizzy needed for this aplication could it be the problem

checking for input before searching and spending the cash for a new dizzy

help much appreciated thx.

Problem Solved, Seems When the Swap from the B18b1 to the B18a1 was done, the Crank sensor was also swapped over to the obd1 block. SO with the Sensor in the Dizzy and down below it seems they were fighting each other and the PCM was getting Confused. With Reseting the PCM the Code is gone and the Car can now be tuned! Thanks Jax97hx (D-tuned)

Your distributor might be dying.

We thought that, But i dont think so.. It has 400 miles on it (brand new).. I think its the fact I have an OBD2 Dizzy on a OBD1 setup... Any Thoughts?
