I'm looking for a deep throaty sound for my Teg LS.

so what's the verdict? a 2.5 to 3 inch pipe, resonating exhaust or no resonating exhaust?

An article on hondavision.com said I'd lose quit a bit of power by going to a
3inch pipe vause the exhaust velocity would be tooo slow.

Could someone please take all this theory and put it into numbers?

2.5 inch exhaust w/ tip w/o cat vs. Greddy tip and cat-back system
what's the difference in whp?

I really liked the Apex N1 sound, but it's not available for me. Are there any
other Exhaust systems that provide a similar sound, for a 92 LS?

Let me put it this way, with a 3" exhaust, not only will you sound gay, but someone running or walking could smoke you off of the line.

OK.. here is the deal.. I thought about it.

If you want to start a technical thread about the pros/cons of running a 3 inch straight pipe as opposed to regular mufflers.. go ahead..

But let me tell you this... this has been beat to death here and if you would only take a few minutes to read and search the numerous posts on the topic.

 

Why don't you just go outside, go to your car and start kicking the exhaust till it falls off. That should be loud enough for you.
Or maybe drill some holes in the muffler, the multiple holes will give you more horsepower too...

Or just run open headers. That will be great.....
