Im looking for this material so i can make my own gaskets for my truck. Is it just polyer???

you can buy phenolic material in small sheets, its basically just a low thermal conductivity plastic laminate.
when sourcing it... you want to get something that has enough compressive strength, can tolerate the temperatures it will see in this application, lowest possible thermal conductivity, affordable for making gasket, etc.

Ultra high molecular weight i think this is what its made of. Be curious to see if 1/8" spacer would make a difference on my SUV
