Default Help me with my code, please. Code 12 Exhaust Gas Recirculation lift valve

Hi all, I recently swapped a 1997 B18b into my 1995 Civic. I run it with a OBD1 PR4. The car runs great, except for the CEL I'm getting. I tried searching on the matter, but couldn't find anything concrete. How have you guys fixed this? I don't know whether it's a vacuum line or bad sensor, or what. The car runs fine and idles fine (idle drops when I put the clutch in, but that's it). How can I fix this? Is it bad for the car to run like this? I assume not, but I am moving to Cali in the summer and will likely fail emissions like this.

Please help! Thanks in advance

Run the correct ECU (P75) or at least a properly tuned ECU with the EGR function disabled. The B18B does not have an EGR.

Thank you for the reply. I know that no integras (save for the auto DAs) came with EGR. However, my ECU is not from an auto DA. It's from a manual DA/DC (still unsure on year). Are you saying that a P75 will for sure cure this problem?

Yes. A P75 will not seek input from an EGR. Therefore it will not throw an error code when it doesn't find one.

Why is the PR4 looking for an EGR?

I do not know. Have you confirmed the reading with an actual code scanner? Perhaps the PR4 that you have is from a gen 2 Integra with an automatic. What is the full part number (37820-PR4-A##)?
