Default Type R conversion

Hey guys im going to convert my 97 gsr slowly over time. I have no idea were i should start. I want to get the little things first and then i want to eventually get the b18c5 swap. As for now im intrested into a 5lug conversion so i can get typeR rims. My question is should i get typeR 5lug setup or is there a differnt alternative? also could you guys guide me to some reputable places were i can get typeR parts for cheap. Thanks for any help

you want to do a 5 lug conversion just for the rims? those are going to be some expensive rims

Ya that is like 60% of reason why but i also want typeR rotors and brakes. I think it would have better braking power than a gsr stock.

5 lug conv and ite wheels are gonna cost somewhere around 2000-2500

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just sell your car and buy a Type-R?

ok....someone had to say it LOL

To answer the question if you're going to convert your car over to a Type-R as far as you can get it to look like one, you'd be better off getting the Type R 5 lug conversion. Type R parts for cheap? Sorry....I don't know any reputable places to go get Type R parts for "cheap". Likewise I don't know any irreputable places either The project you are getting into is in no way...."cheap"......

Why get a swap? Why not just build your current engine. Youre engine right now is the same thing with a couple internal things changed.

It's expensive to convert a teg to a R. I'm converting my GS to a SIR-G and it's almost done I have the rest of the parts to convert it.

I did the 5 lugs from Schaffer racing JDM ITR white. Custom built for racing. I got it for $1,000 and my rims were another $1,000 straight from Japan SSR Type C 17s. I got a bumch of ITR and SIR-G stuff on my teg. This is without labor cost.

$2500 for an oem itr suspension with wheels? maybe back in 2000. $1500 is more realistic.

you can check

I agree with the rest of the guys that it would be cheaper to build your B18C1 motor than getting a swap, you can definetly build it faster than a stock type r. 5 lugs usually go for 900-1k. good luck with your build bro
