gsr hatch knock sensor question

Default gsr hatch knock sensor question

so i just wired up the knock sensor up today in my obd2 gsr hatch when it was hooked up my car ran like **** but when i disconnected it from the ecu it ran good i just think i didnt have a good connection but i just want 2 take it 2 my buddy shop will it be alright 2 drive my car without the knock sensor hooked up and wat does the knock sensor do

Its not good to drive without a knock sensor installed. Are you sure you have it wired up right? A knock sensor does exactly what it says, it detect knocks within the block and adjusts the ignition timing if necessary.

knock sensor detects any knocks.. if your car has any pre detonations.. it could be harmful.. i doubt anything will happen on a mile and a half trip.. but you never know.. push it there.. heh .. or flat tow it if its that close..

a buddy of mine did a swap from ls to gsr and never installed knock sensor and drives it evryday without it and has no problems so i doubt u will have any problems driving a mile
