Default Do I need a girdle for this?

This is a street motor. I haven't picked cams yet, but i plan to rev to a max of 8200.
b20 block
estimated comp-12.0:1
11.5:1 wiseco pistons
eagle rods
balanced rotating assembly
arp main studs, rod bolts, head studs

b18c1 head
stock save for omnipower flat faced valves
eventually some ctr cams or something slightly more aggressive

I think i might actually take it to 8200 like a couple times a week. Will not be raced, occasionally autox'd, maybe. Looking for 215-220 whp.

Although i know how people say its cheap insurance, it's honestly not all that cheap if you have it done right. If you just slap it on, it's going to do more harm than good anyways.

You do not need a girdle. Nice build.

then align hone her and be done just make sure you find someone uber-able to do it because if you go tooo much then...i usually measure everything before going any further on a build this is the most crucial machining operation on the block in my opinion

its not needed at all. but, i obtained all of the parts for needed, for dirt. people seem to be giving parts like this away lately. after calculating the cost of the labour, i felt it was relatively inexpensive, so i went with it. i'm running an lsv and plan on hitting the circuit, so thats the only reason i personally run a girdle
