so after some time last night try to get my "hondalog" to log anything i truly got nothing. I tried crome, and it wouldn't see anything. Also i'm running the ostrich 2.0 with a p30 jdm rom with p28 base maps, and vtec disable and knock. No check engine light, and logging enabled. The thing will not log. Then i tried ecucontrol. I got some data back from ECUControl but no rpm is being showed, mph's is stuck at 160. etc... you think the solder connections could be bad?
You have to manually assign the correct com ports. Open your device manager in Windows and watch your ports, then plug in your cable. You will see which port Windows is assigning. Then open your settings in Crome and assign the correct port to your Hondalog. It should connect properly-the default ports are almost never correct.
are you sure you're running off the ostrich make sure
solders on ecu are correct, on my ecu my j1 came loose so when ever i would try to log it wouldn't connect, basically i was running stock maps look in to that.. com ports are what the problem is usually on crome

sorry i haven't been around to update my progress. i've not had anytime to troubleshoot the issue been moving. i will be testing this **** when i get home. wondering if it could be an issue with not having a real VSS sensor hooked up since this is running out of my 88-91 Sedan using a obd1 conversion harness. But then again all the other **** should show up as well.

what is best to do..
Plugin your ostrich make the car run. While running pull the ostrich out of the ecu.
If you get a solid cell u know it's running from ostrich.
Next you connect your hulog only to laptop.
Check in device manager which port it uses.
Connect your software to HULOG(crome pro, ectune, freelog whatever)
Try to log if not working turn cable around.
Try to log again.
Try all comm ports the cable 2 way.
Besure J12 is out(USDM ecu)/J4 JDM ecu

so i'm getting feed back from freelog just like i stated first in the post, when i was using ecucontrol. i'm still getting garbage type data. RPM's are showing 26 mph is 155 to 160. everything else is jumping around like crazy. j12 is cut of course. so i'm out of idea's possible bad connection.
