so i guess since i am always on honda sites my dad thinks i am a genius and should know everything well i don't but oh well... anyways its a 95 hunter green 2 dr. coupe 5spd. pretty nice not sure what model but i think the ex! anyways he wants me to check the timing belt and what else should i check? and what should the timing belt look like if it is going bad? any imput would be great thanks brett

 

give us the engine and milage on the car

 

Do a full tune-up, including rotor, cap, oil change, radiator flush, fluid top off, pad and rotor check, alignment and balance of wheels and tires. Oh, and make sure to get some of that madd phazzat wood trim.

 

i think its a p22 not sure couldn't really see it.. we bought it last night and he stayed at a friends house tonight so i couldn't really see it and it has 89,000 miles

 

how do i do the rotor and cap? and pad and check the rotor? new at this so please bare with me

 

timing belt for sure

spark plugs (a 5 min job)
tranny flush (change the MT Fluid in your case)
air filter
PCV valve
oil change
flush cooling system (get it done at the same time they do the timing belt)

Check out the CV joints

 

take it off with the wires attached and check the inside for pit marks and or scarring. same for the rotor

 

what is the pcv valve? and how do i check that?

Buy a repair manual. There isnt a single member here that will sit there and give you detailed instructions on how to do everything.

Your engine is an F22B1 if its an EX, F22B2 if its any other.
