so i just finished dyno tuning my ls/vtec build tuned w/ crome, later replaced the iacv with a brand new one, car idles perfect.
took it out for a spin, hit vtec and bam! total loss of power. i try to accelerate from a dead stop and i bog/hesitate and the rpms rev freely, sometimes it catches but bogs again and sometimes stalls. its almost like something is clogged. NO CEL. i can let it idle and play with the throttle cable and the motor will surge/bog once i get to about 3k.
im stumped.

 

Sounds like your in limp mode..

Are you sure your not throwing and codes.. Is the check engine light bulb there?

 

yea ive had a cel before...

 

that sounds similar to a problem i had a few days ago...i was just bogging down...and it would just die and the check engine light would come on..im not sure if yours does...but i would say check your spark plugs....thats what my problem was...hopefully its all thats wrong with yours....

i figured out what it is... i took my tps off and the spring loaded arm fell out... broken tps.
