Can I use this OEM Honda crankshaft pulley on a 91 Civic DX hatch with no power steering? It's a little different than the one I removed (now broken) and a little heavier due to the top part shown on this picture - used for power steering. Will the added weight cause significant change in performance?

ok, so the crank pulley u got now is heavier than the one u had b4, if u put it on now its gonna make a difference cause its heavier, if im not wrong u have 2 rebalance the crankshaft due to having more weight on the timing belt side, if u take a CTR N1 crank pulley and slap it on a GSR or LS its gonna hurt it cause the crankshaft is not balanced for the CTR crank pulley weight which is 1.8 lbs, so less the weight rpm goes up faster but hurts the crankshaft, n/e thing else u need 2 know????

 

you will be fine with what you have pictured above but i would recommend using an OE replacement from your civics model/engine

sometimes the timing marks are different...
