1996 honda accord over heating
As soon as I got home I noticed my temperature gauge all the to the red. So I quickly turned off the car. I opened the hood and smelled some coolant and it sounded it some pressure was being released and that noise seemed to come from near the intake manifold. It was dark outside so I could not further inspect. What could be the problem be? The car has 267k miles and could it be a blown head gasket?
Inspect when you have good light and maybe an inspection mirror.
Look carefully at the small transfer hoses under the manifold in the area of the T-stat.
If needed refill the coolant and start the car back up to find the leak.
I hate to see people change a head gasket to find out they have a leaky hose.
