Default auto to manual conversion

hey guys, so recently i have picked up a 91 integra it is automatic. i want to have a manual transmission car so i also have a b18a1 motor with a manual tranny. the manual tranny and motor is sitting out in the garage. the body of the automatic is decent. anyways, my question is: what should i do with the motor before i put it in the car.
this is gonna be a summer project for me so i can take all the time i need. this is also going to be my first time driving a stick, but i have had experience before. what are some things that i have to change and what are some things that i should change? and of course i am on a budget. so, any input would be appreciated.

oh and i would also like to see some more engine shots of you guyses cars.

well i would check everything out
valve clearance
cylinder walls
and maybe upgrade some stuff if you want
but if you take it apart, you have to buy a gasket kit
but you can get them(oem) for like 250-300
but that might be a good idea

and what do you mean engine bay shot
this is my engine right now...
being built

Search the terms..

''wire tuck'' - ''how to wire tuck''

Lots of informative threads.

So is it your first time or do you have experience?????????? The questions you asked are so vague there are lots of different answers. You need to figure out: 1. What you will be doing with the car. Track only/daily driver/ combo. 2. Your goals. Win national championship/have a car that is respectable on the track/show car. 3. Your budget. I don't car how much/I don't need the best/fake carbon fiber on ebay. Use the search, you're not the first person trying to mod an integra, someone probably has done what you want to do. There is alot of great people in here who know alot about honda ask specific questions so you can get specific answers. Good luck

yea sorry dude, just didnt know what to say and all. just wanted to see what are some things that you all have gotten, so i can get some ideas.

so, 1) i want this to be a daily.
2) i want this car to stand out, but nothing too extreme (engine wise) just want to have something respectable.
3) i really dont need the best, but i would like to have somethings that are reliable.

thx
