fan?

Default fan?

last night while cruising in the freeway the temp gauge was normal going 75-80mph then when im bout to exit i down shift apply brake i looked at the temp and notice the temp went pass half when gas it again the temp went back to normal operating temp.recently replace waterpump, all hose no leak, no milky oil, and recent flush radiator i only have one fan and its facing the headers can this be the problem? or thermostat?

its theres one fan right infront of the heads, its the A/C fan and yes, that can cause it to over heats, you should have two fans one for A/C and one for temppurtar

and it also can be the thermostat not opening right and messing with the water flow, and it open when you press on the the gas, cuz the water pump moves faster making more pressure there by forceing it open.

but i have no ac the fan is always on when the key is on was rewired to stay on everytime bought it like that so should i move the fan over in front of the tranny?

My wife has a '91 Civic Hatchback. We bought it here in New Braunfels, Texas at Randy Adams, Inc. As far as I know, she has not had this problem. Both of us could not have been happier with the dealership when we purchased our cars. Give them a ring if you're in Texas and maybe they can help you out!

maybe air in the system or the thermostat. both are easy fixes. same for your fan...it shouldn't be on all the time, but i guess it's better than never. it probably needs a relay or temp switch
