no power to fuel pump after complete rebuild
i just completely rebuilt my b18c and when i went to turn it over i knoticed the fuel pump didnt come on when i turned the key, i check voltage to the pump and there was nothing, iv searched a bit on H-T and couldnt find too much other then checking the relay, i did and its fine. it worked great when i parked the car now all of the sudden, nothing. maybe something i forgot to plug in? i double checked my connections, any input would be great

Solid engine light when you put the key in the "on" position? Engine light go off? Possible ecu issue or main relay issue.
power supply to the fuel pump is very early in the system, so there is little to go wrong to prevent it from working. Your looking at the ignition switch, main fuses, main relay, an ecu problem, or wiring. The wiring is likely fine, main relay is good cause you said you checked it. From there, check the large fuses in the underhood box, and use a known good ecu.

i did check the all the under dash and under hood fuses, ill check the ignition. keep in mind i literly had everything in my engine bay taken out, also there is absolutly no fuel in the tank is there maybe a sensor that will stop the fuel pump from primeing if there is nothing in it?
i did a little more diagnosing just now, mainly w/ the relay, the relay clicks when i hook a pos. and a neg. to the terminals the manual told me to, but there is no contineuity in the prongs that the manual said should have contineuity. ill keep posted on my results w/ a new relay

A relay that clicks but has no continuity is usually a broken relay. If the input wire shows ~12vdc between it and ground, then it probably is the relay. If it is a 88-91 Civic, chances are you have a cold solder joint in the relay, although its usually the main relay that has them. They tend to act up when its warmer out.
thanks, good info, the car has been parked all winter while i did a the rebuild, its a 94 integra gsr i just bought a new relay those damn things are phuckin expensive
