A little cooling issue
91 Integra with lsvtec and Drag turbo @ 8 psi.
ANy way the car heats up to over 230 when drivng normal on the road ...but at idle with the AC on it stays at 210. Now when I switch to a dual core radiator, not a fluidyne, but el cheapo, it hovers around 180 while drivng, but at idle gets over 230...what is goign on here. I took the thermostat out...running 50/50 antifreeze and water. Did I blow a headgasket...or what, thanks.

put the thermostat back in. It restricts flow, which allows the coolant to remain in the block longer to absorb more heat. Also try adding some water wetter and maybe buy a good radiator. Does your fan come on during this time? If not, you could wire your radiator fan and a/c fan to a switch to turn them on all the time. hth
totally keep the thermostat. get a cooler one if you must. OR, you can just make a restrictor plate so that it flows through at a lower rate, but isn't changed by the actual temp.
