Default Radiator Fan help...

recently, my temperature gauge has been showing a temp more than halfway lately, and it gets VERY close to the red....

yesterday, i changed my upper and lower radiator hoses, and drained and refilled with coolant, and it still does that... (just to say, the coolant that i drained wasnt even coolant at all... it was a murky looking water)..

anyway, i think theres something wrong with my fan, because it doesnt turn on even when the temp gets REALLY high...

i know of the fan switch thats on the thermostat housing that i could replace, but what process (and how to do it) can i do to check whats exactly wrong with it..??

I know i'm a noob in here but i had that problem last week too, andafter i change the two upper and lower hose and thermostat, it still over heat. My fan wasnt turn on when its hot, which brought my temp up to hot. So my friend and i decide to bypass the wire from the radiator fan to the ignition remote lline with a back-up fuse to prevent from being burn. So everytime, when i turn on the ignition the fan turn on running. so far it hasnt cause the overheating to me.
