My GSR in Milano Red. Factory paint. Not that dark of a red.

No pics, but when parked next to an Imola Red M3, the bimmer was noticeably darker (and "more red", and overall a better color imo).

I would also like to add, that the Honda Milano Red is a "tri-coat" paint, thus more expensive to do, and much harder to color match when repainting.

Thanks guys..I have a 92 SI hatch..in the coming weeks i'm going to send it for body and paint. it has originial milano red paint on it right now, faded to pink. I'm having a hard time making up my mind on what color to repaint. If i do a color change i will have to spray the engine bay flat black or something(with the motor in ofcourse). If i go red, I don't have to respray the bay and interior. I don't want too much cop attention and red is a very noticeable color. What do you guys think? Color change or leave it red? I would be going with a darker color if i do a colour change.

just so you know, that hold red car + cops things is really a myth i've owned only red cars, never been pulled over or caught for speeding or anything just cuz mines was more noticable so dont let that distract you from the main thing.."the color you want"

Interesting facts guys, thanks. The truth is, I am not really a fan or red. I bought a red car that needs body and paint. I favor more subtle colors that have a pearl/metallic look, like the rsx jade green metallic, lexus desert sage, audi alpaka beige etc. My only worry is the engine bay. If i change the color i have to paint it with can spray(with the motor in ofcourse). The problem is I wouldn't be able to find these paints in can spray. So i'll have 3 options: First one, use a scratch pad and scuff off the clear on the current paint and let the paint shop shoot it. Second: shoot the bay bar-b-que flat black or battleship grey. Third: leave it in red to contrast the outside finish. So in other words, the only reason I am looking into red is because it would be the easiest and most uniform thing(it's not my preference).

What do you guys suggest?

Milano Red! I wish my Si was MR. Yep, I vote just repaint it stock. Less headaches.
