anyone put on an oil pressure gauge?
Get this...I took my car to the shop to get a new clutch, sway bars, and a water temp and oil pressure gauge installed. the sender unit for the oil pressure sensor is *supposed* to be remote mounted, but the mechanic installed it RIGHT on the block....now the vibration caused the brass nipple to break, dumping oil outta the engine, and leaving the brass nipple for the sensor broken off in the farkin' block!!!
do mechanics not read instructions or what??

What an idiot! Sorry to hear that dude... Next time do it yourself and spare yourself the headache.
When it snapped did oil blow the hell all over or what?

this is exactly why im using the greddy oil sandwhich adapter, no muss, no fuss, and no worry of breaknig the thread on the oil press sensor.
got the end of the brass thread out with no damage to the block...tomorrow I'll be picking up some aeroquipe SS Braided line to *properly* mount the oil pressure sender unit on the firewall like it should've been. I'm gonna go to the shop that originally did the work and ask that the refund me the labor costs since it broke, or perform the next bit of maintainence (spelling?) for no cost, which is my new axles that I got coming. Hell, the charged me @200 bucks to put my gauges in, I shoulda done it myself! oh well, live and learn
