im trying to identify my head on my 97 integra ls. i have a 1997 jdm b20b block with a pr3 (b16) vtec head.everyone is telling me its a 89 obd0. but i looked under engine lists and the b16a head came in a 1990 and up jdm sir civic. mine is a 89 so im told. so is there anyone who truly knows how to decipher the letters stamped on my b16 head.

 

should be 88-91 b16 obd0, theres no difference between 89 and 90.

 

yup your right but is the head a jdm or usdm. and a b16a or b16a1

 

is there not a date on there? i thought the heads had a date on em, yr atleast., shouldnt matter. they are all the same pretty much. except the cams are different between the older molder and the newer one.

 

there are dates on there but i dont know what all the numbers mean from left to right on the head these are the numbers 89 11 29 09 im runnning the jdm b20b block i know its jdm because they always end in letters not numbers, but kow do i know what the head is it only says pr3 not b16a or b16a1

 

It's an '89 head.
