some help with rims and tires
i am going to get 15x7 wheels and going to get the offset of +50 which is just the stock offset. can anyone convert that to backspace?
i am going to get 225/50/15 drag radials and was wondering will those fit with the +50 offset with no modifications?
if they do not, what offset/backspace should i get?
also i was looking into getting these BFG r1 instead of the regular drag radials for added tracking. will i break any axles with these?
here is the pic for reference

i want 15 because they are just rims to put whenever i go to the drag stip and its hard to find bf drag radials in 16. i am fine with having my OEM wheels to roll around on. i have 205/50/15 bf drag radials on my some accord steelies that i use when i go to the strip now but that is just not cutting it for me. have made about 20 passes on them and everytime spinning through 1st and 2nd so yeah...
want to get wider and bigger drag radials before if i HAVE to get slicks and new axles which i do not want to seeing that would be very costly.

Actually, for street tires, there are plenty of good selections in 15" and 16" sizes. For drag radials, though, which he's looking for, there isn't much in 16".

Heres a aim convo (wai talking).
[09:34] Ž: charlie said he needs to break the tires loose, or it would snap the axles
[09:36] Ž: he's on drag radials
[09:36] Ž: too much grip would snap the axles
[09:36] Ž: so he has to break the tires loose, then let the tires pick up grip again

For street use, they're not a good idea. Those are R compound track tires, designed for use on racetracks, not dragstrips and not on the street. They need to be heated up with a lap or two on the track before they grip well. On the street, they won't get that heat so they won't grip well.

I should have been more specific. Before the OP edited his post he was asking for 15x8's which was what I was referring too. Then I found out his drag desires and left the convo.

so what from what you are saying the BFG R1 are track tires not drag strip tires so i should get the BFG drag radials?
and once again these are for a drag strip application only. i have a seperate set of rims to put these on. i have my OEM rims for daily driving.

yes.
225/50/15 should fit fine.
<<<ran 235/60/15 on the stock wheel. essentially almost a 26" tire. rubbed a little at full lock, and had to raise the suspension as high as it would go.
