the noise starts at about 40mph it makes a whooooo sound in the front tire whole car begins too shake and also the steering wheel too. got new lower control arm, new upper control arm, new suspension and a alignment recently. any suggestions do u think it could be wheel bearing ........cv shaft seems fine.
Does the ptch of the the sound change when veering from one side to another? Its probably a wheel bearing. Another way to check is to jack the wheels up and move it side to side, to check for movement, as well as spin it around and listen for any noise out of the ordinary

Really? So it most certainly couldn't be a broken belt in the tire? Or some loose lug nuts?

sounds like a wheel bearing to me not to bad to replace....dont know what you drive but my 96 ex i had to just take the knuckle off and get the old bearing pressed out and the new one pressed in pretty simple...
