my car wont idle
it wont idle. i cant figure out whats wrong. i had a bad down shift and ever since it wont idle. some one thought it might be vaulves but its not i had a comperson check. i thank its a sensor but no codes. it gets worseas the car gets warmer . but the car dose just fine once its moving. dose any one have a clue?
ok i literally just got done with this and it took me 2 1/2 months of figuring it out, so i'm going to tell you the easiest thing to do right now is go to advanced auto parts and get a couple cans of carb cleaner and spray it where your intake manifold hits your head and when she bogs down and goes back to idle for the 5 seconds it words, there is your leak, which means either you need to replace your intake manifold gasket or try tightening down your bolts to your intake
now if that doesn't fix it you'll have to go to honda and buy your Idle air control valve AND your fast Idle control that should fix things, otherwise if you do what i did and say [freak] it and let it idle like that, it will ruin your timing belt tensioner since she idles so weird which could possibly ruin your head and break valves
Make sure your EGR valve is not stuck open, I mixed up some vacuum hoses one time and the EGR was open 100% of the time. Would drive fine above 2k rpms but would bog down and kill at an idle.
