alright guys, ive tried searching and didnt really see a direct answer to my question. i have a ls tranny w/ an obx diff and i wanna know if i can put a jdm itr 4.785 final drive. if not, does anyone have any suggestions on shortening up this ls trans? any help or info is greatly appreciated

 

Yes you can, but you will need ring gear, countershaft, needle bearings, space collar and 1st gear.

41233-P80-E30 : 4.785 Ring Gear
23421-P80-E30 : Countershaft 1st gear
91107-P80-E30 : First gear needle bearing (x2)
23914-P80-E30 : Ring collar
23221-P80-E30 : 4.785 Countershaft

now what does everyone think about this combo. i'll be running a turbo ls/vtec, rev 8500rpms, and a 235/60/15 tire. just lookin for some feedback, not real familiar wih tranny combo's
