OK, so i know there is the mini me swap DIY thread in the FAQ section, but it doesn't answer some of my questions so I must ask them here. #1. I plan on re-using my y7 manifold set up for now because i don't have the y8 manifold and throttle body stuff, so will the y7 IACV work on the y8 head that has the IACV on the manifold? i dont wanna have put up with all the wiring and **** for the y8 IACV. also, ive read somewhere that i have to wire in a knock sensor with the d16y8 ecu. is this true? i just thought all i do is pull off the head, put a new head gasket on, lay down the y8 head, put on mew head bolts, bolt up the y8 mani, and stuff, then wire vtec and be done? please help me

u will need a knock sensor but i think there is a way to bypass it using a transducer or something. but not sure. pretty sure you have to use he y8 im because of the iacv. when i used the y7 tb on my y7/z6 mini me with a y8 im it had an idle surge. until i got an hx tb.
