I converted my car to obd1 went to time the car and i cant get the timing to adjust far enough. With the dizzy turned as far as it will the lines are still about 1/8" off any thoughts?

 

what dist are you using, ive heard (but not confirmed) that some dist run 30 deg off because the sensors are placed differently. i've never confirmed it, but it sounds like the issue you are having.

look around online and see if your dist could be one of these. good luck.

 

its the td-55u i believe, to cold out and dont want to go outside and check. i bought it brand new on ebay through a company. so my question is if its 30degress off how in the hell do i do timing?

 

not sure, ive never come across this problem. i guess you could unbolt it all the way from the head and rotate it far enough to get time, then make a bracket to hold it. but that would probably make problems down the line. maybe you could correct it in whatever program (crome, ectune, neptune, ect,) you are using...

the dizzy has just 2 prongs unlike the design that chevy uses. so if its not in the right spot you can be 180 degrees off. as for ecu and everything just using stock acura parts.
