Ok so this kid I know got a 92 CX hatchback and got a ZC (SOHC) engine from some california shop, what he got was just the head and the block. Basically he need it a intake and exahust manifold, put the harness in and, vola!!! its alive and running. Not the case!!!

What intake/throttle (plus all sensors) computer ect its copatible with this engine. Keep in mind that is going in a cx hatchback.

I belived he install a d15d7 intake, with a d16z6 throttle body, we also try his computer, 92 cx, and also my computer from the d15d7 and it still has a problem. smelly smoke coming from the back like its flooded also if you push the gas pedal it just choke.

Anybody using a ZC engine? are any of the american d series compatible with this engine?

Please guys let me know what you think it is, this is the only info I know and Im trying to help this kid out. but I don't know much about this engine or what is compatible with it.
