Default Help with Rear strut bar.

In my first hatch some one installed a rear nrg strut brace, I took it out of the car when I had to sell the shell cuz it was in an accident.
I want to put it in the current hatch, but I'm really picking about things looking as well as functioning right. So I know how to do everything except I was wondering if there are some sort of measurments when it comes to cutting the plastic in order for it to line up well without just guessing, and getting it "pretty close" to the position. I want it to be a pretty small hole about 3x3 inches, so I'd have to know exactly where to start lol.

I know it's probably a stupid question, and in the wrong spot, but I'm just looking for some guidline.

Default Re: Help with Rear strut bar. (NeonX143)

If the bar goes through the shock cover (the removable plastic piece), then quickly trace around one on paper, tape the paper in place instead of the plastic, fit the bar (cutting the paper and taping unneeded cuts as necessary), and then use the new paper template as your guide for cutting the plastic.

I also have no clue what forum this question would probably belong best in.
