95 gsr: coolant in cylinder 1
Here is the situation, I rebuilt my gsr motor. it has jdm itr pistons, LS rods and crank, Buddyclub spec 3 cams, bc valvespring and retainers, ARP headstuds, S2 intake manifold, 68mm TB. There is no crack in the head or sleeves and the valves seals are brand new. as well as no Compression loss.
when i first started the motor and let it warm up i got white smoke out of the tailpipe i.e. coolant in the cylinder(s). i then took the spark plugs out a minute later the same white smoke from just Cylinder 4. so i went and bought a new head gasket, sprayed it with copperspray and got the same result. so now i removed the head and brought the machine shop and had it planed, i bought a 3rd headgasket but this time didn't copperspray it! i put it all back together and started it and let it warm up and this time got smoke from just cylinder 1 after removing all of the spark plugs.
So, should i copperspray the gasket this time? any other suggestions??

so was this a LS vtec or no..
could be your block, or your not tightening the headbolts down properly. are you using the same headbolts over again? you should replace the head bolts eachtime the head comes off
