95 gsr, looking to do....
springs, retainers, cams (probably stage1), possible port job, and intake mani.

What would I need to tune this? just a vafc? or are there ecu flashes or anything that can be done?

I suggest skipping the VAFC and get a S200-300. Make sure you get it tuned at a shop unless you're comfortable with tuning it yourself or have someone that can tune it

With a setup as simple as the one you listed, there's no real need to drop $600 on a Hondata system and then even more money on tuning. Instead, get a Crome chipped P28 from Xenocron and a simple tune....anything more is overkill and a waste of money

I'd say you could probally get away with running a base map for a little while, but to ensure maximum hp goals.. I would at least have it street tuned with Crome..

Thanks for all the info. I'll do my research on those and post any other questions I have.

The Xenocron and chrome tuning. Is chrome a program you put on your laptop then plug laptop into obd connector and change settings on the chip that way? (like dsmlink, if anyone is familiar with that)
