Partial Hydrolock *Need Help*

Yesterday I was driving and ran into a deep puddle. I have been in a similar situation so I knew right away to turn off the motor. After cruising to a stop I unbolted the AEM V2 intake from the intake manifold and sure enough there was water in the intake manifold before the butterfly valve. I got the car running and drove it to work with the intake unbotled no problem. Today however, I was leaving work and the car simply would not start. It would turn over and choke out, turn over and choke out it kept doing this. I finally got it started after doing rolling starts which failed and finally it started by just turning the key and giving it some gas. Now, the car is running like absolute ****, bogging down, stalling etc. When I have it at low rpms and hit the accelerator it is hesitant and not smooth at all. It almosts sounds like a it is misfiring because it is gargling, perhaps a spark plug went bad from water? I have not taken the spark plugs out yet but I am going to tomorrow. Do you guys have any tips for me?

As far as hydrolocking an engine, its either hydrolocked, or its not, theres not really a in between thing. Yes, you can get water in an engine and still have it die, but its not hydrolocked if you can crank it over and start it. Sounds like you shut it down before it sucked up enough water.
If you drove the car away no problem then you would have flushed out all the water in the engine and likly ALL the carbon built up anywhere in pistons/ combustion chambers as well. If there was damage you would have noticed it immediately.
I'd say your problem lies somewhere else since you drove away. Possibly the idle control valve is gone bad since it got soaked?

since when did honda put mass air flow sensors on civics?

He must mean IAT sensor. IIRC new Civic engines have both MAF and MAP sensors.
