I just swapped an LS motor into my HX. So now I have an HX motor waiting to be messed with. I was thinking about doing a home made turbo, or putting a different head on it, or both. Would there be an advantage to putting a z6 head on the d16y5 block, or should i just stick with the existing head. What would you guys do if you had a D16y5 laying around?

 

u did say hx right??? there's no reason to do anything to that motor...it'll be a waste of time and money....only thing that motor is good for is gas....if you want to put a head on something, put an vtec head on ur ls....
