91 integra GS recently done: new wires, new plugs ( correct gap 1.1mm), new cap and rotor, cleaned the IACV,FITV and all the injectors, good compression,adjusted base idle to 1000 in closed loop, fuel injection service

Symptoms: rough idle, slower than normal rev, seems like its not all there, it blows some black **** out the tail pipe (not alot) at idle, doesnt smoke when driving seems a like its running rich

CEL code #43 fuel supply system wtf doest that mean?

there is a code for too rich/lean so it should be stoich right?
i originally was thinking of changing the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator!

anybody had this code before? any ideas?

before you go and change the FPR, test it. check for fuel pressure

or if you disconnect the vacuum hose for the fpr, if there is ANY liquid in there, then its propably ripped and needs to be changed.

as for fuel filter, as long as your pressure check comes out good, your filter should be alright.

 

i have a fuel pressure tester with a gauge, what pressure should it be? around 35 psi? do you have any other ideas? thanks for your input , i have a 1 yead certificate in engine performance and i'm stumped! lol
