Coilover Question???

Default Coilover Question???

i was just wanting to know if coilovers from an EP3 (civic si) will work on my 90 civic si? they look the same as my coilovers i have now but are a better brand.

if i had to guess i'd say no, the ep3 has a dual wishbone suspension set up, which i believe is different from what honda was previously doing...but thats just a guess based on that fact...i'd say just buy the name brand you want for your hatch

yeah that makes since, but they look just like the ones i have now..... the only thing i could think of would be the weight factor, the ep3 weights more then an ef so the springs mite be a little stiffer?

hell no.

macpherson vs double wishbone. completely different.

cars arent even close in weight.

you got that backwards. 88-2000 civics have double wishbones/twin a-arm suspension. 01+ has macpherson struts. 3rd gen civic's also have macpherson strut actually, but with torsion bars.

the assemblies may look like your struts, but the mounting points look NOTHING like yours (3-bolt vs 2-bolt tops, bolt on vs slip in bottoms)

well just to let you every one know. i put them on this morning and they work great, they even ride better than my old coilovers
