my window gets about 3" from closing and then it wont role up it just keeps clicking as i rotate it up, my buddy let me have the manual "motor" thing out of his 92 hatch i searched around and couldnt find if it would work or not? does anyone know?

my bad, my windows role up by hand, i just wasnt sure what the part is called (the part that bolts on to the window) i shouldnt have said motor, sorry

They look very different, as I expected.

 

This is a common problem. You're going to have to get the right parts for your car. Trying to make something else fit will only complicate things and make it more likely to have trouble in the future, if not right away.
