I'm trying to stay as reasonable here as possible. After doing some research, I found that the Si motor also has dual springs on the intake, but single on the exhaust. I've seen Si's turn well over 8000 rpm on countless occasions. Thus, after checking majestichonda.com for a parts search for the 99 spec b16, I noticed that the retainers on both the exhaust and the intake are the same. Also, the spring seats are also the same. The only difference, from what I can see, is that the inner spring for the intake is simply an easy "fit-in" unit that requires no special retainer or spring seat, which surprises me.

So I figured why should my first gen valvetrain come from honda any differently? So, can simply mate the 99 spec b16a2 inner valve spring with my first gen exhaust springs, and it actually fit? or will the spring install heights and retainer/spring-seat not permit it? If it works, i'll have dual springs on both the intake and exhaust side of my PR3 head.

I plan on getting the 99 b16a2 lma's also. Then combine this with the PCT cams.

Will all this stuff fit, or was there changes in geometry between the first gen (PR3) stuff versus the 99/00 spec B16a2 stuff?
