Default how do i remove the crank from my h22?

well i'm trying to strip my h22a4 down to the bare block. i've got it down to just the bottom end now but i cant for the life of me get this frickin girdle off the bottom of the motor. i've pulled just about evey bolt and nut i could find off but still no luck removeing this thing. the only thing i can still see attached o it are the giant allen head bolts on the ends of te tubes of the girdle but i dont see how these would hold it down to the block, the only reason i havent removed them is because i dont have any allen wrenches big enough to fit them cause there bigger the a 10 thats for sure. is their something i'm missing here? this is the third time i've tried pulling this motor apart and i'm stumped. i guess i could always just cut the thing up and rip it apart but i'd rather not.

please any advice or even pics of what i'm missing.

thanks

shawn

a helms is how you do it....there are certain loosening sequences you have to follow so nothing warps....

i dont need to worry about anything warping, the block is already trashed, i just wanna pull everything apart and scrap it for the aluminum and get the crank out of it. i give up, i cant fing anything else to pull it apart so i guess its gonna get the angle grinder and get hacked apart cause this thing is really pissing me off.

problem solved, all it took was a 20lb sledge hammer and about 30 seconds and poof engine dissasembled. snap on should market this cause thats the most effective method for takeing things apart i've ever seen

all it should have taken is a dead blow to rock the girdle back and forth to break the dowel pins loose....

yes after i broke it off i could see all that was holding it in was the dowl pins but they were not comming out no matter what i tried i think when the motor threw a rod through the side of the block it smashed something that was preventing it from coming out.

and no it was not a waste the motor was my old junk motor i pulled outa my lude with a big hole in the block from the #4 rod bolts stripping off and sending the rod through the block it wasnt salvagable.
