Replace ignition wires with spark plugs?
I had my car almost 30k, so I am preparing to do a tune up in the next few weeks. No problems with the car, I just want to do a tune up so I know it's done, and I hope to better my gas mileage a bit. I will be using all OEM parts of course.
I will be replacing spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, front pads (rotors turned), transmission fluid.
My question, do I need to replace the wires with the plugs? They are the original wires as far as I know. However, the wires are not damaged or cracked at all. Some people say to change the wires, but some people say to not fix them if there is nothing wrong with them. I have heard many occasions of wires lasting the whole life of a car.
Also, would you recommend cap and rotor? No problems with starting vehicle, just doing the tune up to keep my maintenance up to date.
TIA for any help.

i have a 94 prelude and i did a whole tune up on my car and it runs much smoother. Did the wires, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve, coolant change, oil change, Transmission fluid change, and changed the brake fluid.
